Queen Elizabeth's Diamond Jubilee: Celebrating 60 Years of Royal Corgi Love

I caught a delightful article from Canada's Star.com about Queen Elizabeth's recent trip to Canada as part of her Diamond Jubilee celebration. The article began with this statement: "If you want to meet Queen Elizabeth, it’s best to have four-legged, short-legged bait." In a visit to Manitoba, it seems that the Queen broke ranks from her official duties and made a beeline to meet with a group of 23 Corgis and their owners. Colleen and Tim Melnyk, who organized the Corgi greeting party (I guess you could call them "Corgonizers") are shown in the photo above with Myrah, Mycah and Meagan. The delightful article got me searching the Internet for photos of the Queen and her beloved Corgis. I particularly enjoyed the shots of footmen carrying the Corgis who did not like to deplane on their own. Here's what I found:
